Who’s invited to the table?

Sometimes the conversation around the table can get a little awkward. There’s that person sitting across from you that you’re not quite sure about or that you never got along with. Why were they invited? Who asked them to come and share in this community?

In our scripture from the Gospel of Luke we hear a story about a guy that nobody liked, and for good reason. This guy knew the rules but intentionally turned his back on his own people for personal gain. So, naturally, when Jesus comes to town, who does he invite to dinner? You guessed it, the wrong guy.
