Being vulnerable can be scary.

Do you remember a time when something went so wrong that it caused you to write off that thing for the rest of your life. It might be that you got sick when trying a new food, or traveling to a new place was a nightmare and you vowed never to go back. I remember when I had tried wake boarding for the first time and it didn't go well because a couple of sprained fingers made it really challenging to hold on to the rope. Because of that experience I declined to give it another shot for years.
