When Light Shines

Shining a light on your life.

Last weekend our family watched the 2000 film The Grinch. It is the one with Jim Carey playing the starring role. At one point toward the end of the movie, the grinch twists one little bulb a little bit tighter into its socket, and the whole town lit up. When the light came into the world, the dull and dreary Whoville had an entirely new dimension, and some details came into stark focus.

This weekend we will focus some time on the implications of what happens when we shine the light on our lives. There are some painful parts, and there are also some real gifts in seeing our world in a new light.
