Investment > Quick-Fix

When have you done something "just for a bit," but that quick fix turned into THE fix, and then eventually a disaster? Looking to this weekend I was slow to think of some examples in my own life, but after remembering the first couple, more quick fix failures kept cropping up like stink bugs in my house. The reality is that often times it makes more sense to invest time, effort and energy to the things that matter so that we don't have to re-fix them later.

This weekend we continue on with our Greater Than series where we will explore what happens when we settle for the quick-fix. When the church settles for a quick fix, we short change God and limit the power of what the Spirit might do in our communities. When we as individuals opt for a quick-fix we miss out on the fullness and gift of loving our neighbors.
